At Fletching CE Primary School we bring learning to life! We use both inside and outside of the school grounds to offer exciting learning experiences; we invite visitors into school such as an animal handler when we were learning about Rainforest animals; a theatre company to help immerse ourselves in life during WW2 and much more. We also take the children on trips to visit places linked to our topic, such as the British Museum to see Ancient Egyptian relics; the forest to hunt for the Gruffalo and the coast to learn about the sea. Every other year we take pupils in Years 5 & 6 on a residential to a PGL centre in Windmill Hill, East Sussex. This is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to enjoy the many outdoor and adventurous activities on offer, learn to work as a team and have a thoroughly wonderful time!
Please see the photos below of our recent trip to Windmill Hill in July 2017 and ‘The Clink’ prison museum in October 2017.
